The newest member of the AFOF clan (or pack as it were) arrived in our home last weekend.
Here's a picture:

Oh dammit,  let's try that again:

hmmm, I can't get close or get her to sit still long enough for a photo.... wait, I have an idea:

How's the big red dog you ask?  well, she looked like this when she first met Amber:

Needless to say, she was not impressed with the newest member of the household.

  1. She's a cutie Coop. Love the name! Chrisi had the same reaction when we brought Angus home. Getting Angus was the best thing we ever did.

I'm guessing she's being cooed at, fussed over and generally loved. Amber may not know it but she just hit the doggie lottery. Congratulations and may you have many wonderful years together.

    1. Thanks Six, she is a special pup. The breeder was planning on keeping her, but ran into a problem when he miss counted / over committed female pups. Since we were 1st in line, we able to evaluate her before anyone else. She turned out to be head & shoulders above the rest of the remaining litter. I could tell the breeder didn't want to give her up, but he was left little other option. It was his mistake and he didn't want to disappoint anyone, especially since the pups were Christmas presents for children. So I really have to give him kudos for being a man of his word and doing the right thing.

After 4 days in the house she learned to ring a bell that we have on the door handle when she wants to go out. Potty training is proceeding as expected, could be better but I know it could be a lot worse.

  2. AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... :)
